Legends Gym is run by Karen who has 20 years experience as a fitness advisor. Karen will happily prepare free programs for all members, whether its weight-loss or bodybuilding an individual programme will be designed free of charge when you join.  Additional programs are available on request, these can include fitness or split routines. Dietary advice is also available on request.


Specific programs for Rugby, Football, Boxing and Army are available too.

Personal Training

Karen is available for personal training. Bookings are taken at gym reception for her training services. She will accompany you round the gym and encourage you to perform effectively to gain the best results for your own personal requirements. Whether it’s for fitness, sports or to slim down for holidays or for a special event. You’ll receive the guidance and encouragement to reach your goals.

My name is Carol Robinson. I am 52 years old and a member of Legends Gym, Queensbury. I am writing this article on Karen Holland, Personal Trainer and co-owner of the gym, about how she helped me shed 11lbs of unwanted fat.

I went through the menopause approximately 5 years ago and gained 2 stones. Over the years, I have managed to lose 1 stone but try as I did, I couldn’t shift the other. I tried every diet and slimming aid under the sun. Eventually, I discussed this with Karen who gave me a diet plan to follow. It involved eating small meals, every 3 hours, 5 to 6 times a day and drinking 3 to 4 litres of water daily. This she said would educate my metabolism to work efficiently. Whilst on this diet, I have energy, don’t feel hungry and enjoy 1 cheat meal a week. For this cheat meal, I am allowed to eat whatever I want for one meal, this can be an Indian Curry, Pizza or maybe fish and chips.

I am so pleased to say that in 5 weeks, I’ve lost 11lbs and feel great. I don’t really go by my weight as I weight train and carry muscle but the fat level has lowered and I am now in a comfortable size 10 jeans.

Without the help from Karen, I still think I would still be in the same size and carrying the unwanted 11 lbs. So all you ladies who feel after the menopause that that will be how your body will stay, NOT TRUE. This diet is a great way to lose weight and fat for anybody willing to give it a go, so please go see Karen Holland, she’ll help you achieve your goals.
